The Fig - Chapter 95
| Contains 8 verses – Makka |
|
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ
الرَّحِيمِ |
|
|
In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful |
|
|
وَالتِّينِ
وَالزَّيْتُونِ |
|
|
1- |
Consider the fig and the olive |
|
وَهَذَا
الْبَلَدِ الْأَمِينِ |
|
|
3- |
And this city (of Mecca) with security |
|
لَقَدْ
خَلَقْنَا الْإِنسَانَ فِي أَحْسَنِ تَقْوِيمٍ
|
|
|
4- |
We indeed created mankind in the best stature
(physically and to rise up mentally). |
|
ثُمَّ
رَدَدْنَاهُ أَسْفَلَ سَافِلِينَ |
|
|
5- |
Later (because of his evil misdeeds) We
reduced him to the lowest of the low! |
|
إِلَّا
الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ فَلَهُمْ أَجْرٌ غَيْرُ
مَمْنُونٍ |
|
|
6- |
Except those who have believed (in God and
His Messages)
and have done righteous good deeds, to whom there
will be an unending reward (in Paradise). |
|
فَمَا
يُكَذِّبُكَ بَعْدُ بِالدِّينِ |
|
|
7- |
So after all this (explanation) what makes
you (disbelievers) deny the Day of Judgment and the religion of
God? |
|
أَلَيْسَ
اللَّهُ بِأَحْكَمِ الْحَاكِمِينَ |
|
|
8- |
Is not God the Best and Most Supreme of
judges? |
